Here is an update from the road on Bennett and Sinclair's Turkey-Day journey:
Matt B gets acquainted with Lebowski...
They drove from San Diego to North Carolina? Whoa!
Matt B slept most of the time.
Lebowski was hanging in there...
Chubbs and Bennett totally blowing it.
Mike was deep in e-mails...
Searching for a shop...
Bennett had some deep thoughts over a Sonic meal
Matt has uncurable athletes foot, he is now trying to burn it away with Rubbing Alcohol
We stopped for a bit, NC is getting closer by the minute.
Finally found a shop, but it wasn't open yet.
I guess they waited...
Thanksgiving in North Carolina-!!!
The roast beast was appreciated and digested with a splash of Corona. A reminder of Matt B's hometown.

I called Austin and told him about these abandoned buildings Grant found. Austin told me he had to finish up some work and then he would be right over.
If someone put up a fence, it means that there is good stuff they don't want you to get at. This place is acres and acres of no one around so who is going to stop us?
Austin saw something that caught his
eye. Good thing that with a swift kick to the lock the door was open.
"I have been looking for a good chair. I might need this one."
Who knows what this thing used to be. It had a crawl hatch on the roof and went underground. We all opted out of going in there due to the haunted creepy factor.
With roof access, we could see across all of Orange County, and to the next building we should go inside of.
Rob is the lightest one of us, and the only one fit to climb this sketchy ladder. He said the room up there was tiny and filled with old clothing but not that of bums.
We went in one building that was seriously haunted. The only light we had was the flash of my camera. Everything else was cloaked in the darkness that lives in the concrete windowless building.
Busted.
Got him too.
Taking a break from all the action.
Rob found a toy.
All rested up, Aus-Boss decides that this place would look better with some broken windows.
You had a great day.
Did
Billy?

Since the riders are not sending in photos for me to put up here, I have resorted to posting drawings that come in the mail from our demented (in a good way) fans.
A re-make of the team page complete with hesh writing, a Dope J-Lay, and a Nick Trapasso with lazer-eye powers which he uses to kill bugs.
Nice use of block letters, good idea framing photos of
my face and putting them on your walls.
Sort of a non-menacing emo-sect? Curious and happy-go-lucky?
Circle of Life: You want a skateboard. You get a Skateboard. You fall off of your Skateboard and Die.
Your guess is as good as mine...
T-Sect pole vaulting to Stale-Fish in a Wal-Mart parking lot?
This time, not only did Sect tweak that stalefish, the sun got dangerously "cool", by putting on sunglasses, wait... he's wearing glasses that protect him from himself? And grew some stubble with an extra goatee flair. I'm starting to think these "poles" have more meanings for this kid than is healthy.
Turtle-Boy on Acid loves Josh Harmony..., Brilliant.

Since he is on "Vacation" for Thanksgiving... (although he said he had 2 days of posts, this being the second.) I would imagine he would have posted by now.
Fun is the main goal of most days.
Skateboarding? Yeah, yeah, we'll get to it... relax.
Where is Part 2?

Los Angeles with Matt B and Co.
As the headline suggests.
First things first, we stopped at a garage sale while waiting for Gareth.
Matt B came up on Adam and the Ants on VHS. Deanna is probably in one of the videos.
Look who decided to show.
Met up with a crew at the spot.
Just missed meeting up with
J. Lee.
Cruised downtown for a suss.
Spot check.
Yeesh.
Back to the streets.
Mike took a pee.
Then raged a coffin.
Fun was had by all.

A quilted rag tag post for you to enjoy.
Nick and Johnny are on separate trips right now. Here's them at home in the midst of a heated session.
Some warehouse dork fastidiously screening custom graphics for the team.
Mike Sinclar training for his cross country trek this week. SD to NC no stopping. Yeesh.
Matt B is going out there with him.
So is little Lebowski.
Grant gives you some skate action. Sweet.
Think this post is too random? "Piss off" says the punker.

A select few photos from a Sunday San Diego mission.
Matt B ran into the Bronzie. "Ehhhh!"
These little girls recognized intolerance and showed it in a child-like way. They must be brainwashed by the liberal left...
This brought up tension in the crew as Matt and Jordan see-sawed back and forth over the issue.

The final post of the Siege of Raleigh.
Matt got his final licks in at the hotel gas station. Get that.
Nick's back had taken a beating.
Fletch opted for the rail before departure.
Flow riders get freighted back home.
The rest of the team went through a luxury teleporter.
Rodent was an epic host. He even sawed rails no one wanted to skate. Thanks, Rodentia!

North Carolina
It rained one day and we lurked into an abandoned warehouse. Matt opened up.
Nick got lost in the wilds for a moment...
But found his way inside eventually.
Matt defied death.
Nick got his smoke on.
But things went haywire.
Matt kept his smoke plumes reserved.
Jeez.
Oh dip, that's Matthew W. Bizzle, the architecture portraiteur.

Yep, you guessed it, more from NC.
Took a day off for shopping and parlour games. Matt found a hat.
Nick schooled fools in pools.
But Matt came back for pain on the lanes.
Killed a bowl to make us whole.
Fishes with wishes.

Further coverage of the North Carolina trip.
While chillin' with Crazy Ass Rodent, Nick caught up with some locals.
They showed him some moves.
Matt B was looking around for spots.
Fletch was keeping it little.
Rodent checked out a volleyball game. He likes thick ankles.
Checked some spots.
Fletch got up to get down.

This week will feature posts of a road trip to North Carolina with Matt B and Nicky T.
The differences were pointed as we de-boarded at Raleigh/Durham. We are apparently a notch below 9-11.
Hit up the Waffle House for dinner.
Matt got down before bedtime.
Lil' Fletch came along for the ride.
Generating.
Hit up a sweet skatable dish. Matt loved it.
So did Nick.

So far I am not feeling this new website layout. It seems harder to post stuff the way I had been posting it. I guess I will have to learn...
http://www.skateboard.com/blogs/blog/20081105/my_halloween_with_toy_machine-1814.html;jsessionid=95708738BAFA879C422DF68BD13DF988
So I tried to make this a link that said 'Active Erica made a blog!' but nothing happened.
Now I will insert the old HTML stuff like I used to below:
<a href="http://www.skateboard.com/blogs/blog/20081105/my_halloween_with_toy_machine-1814.html;jsessionid=95708738BAFA879C422DF68BD13DF988" rel="external">Active Erica made a Blog</a>
That didn't work.
I guess I will have to wait until Monday...

Matt B hopped right up to a front board in the 'burbs of San Diego the other day.
Jordan had to
test it first...
But then got straight to biz.
Matt found a dew rag for original SD style points.
Jordan got weird and started finger sniffing.
Cruised downtown and met up with some old buds.
Scoped a wobbly spot.
Matt gets on the wiggles.
Oh, what up dog?
Fuck a spare tire, get that spare rim, son.

Matt posted up on some Ronald McDonald steps in between
tricks.
Grif alternately rocked out...
And gave us smoldering glares during our McMission.
Austin saw the orange stench of ignorance was everywhere. Where was that coming from?
Oh...

Josh found an epic ditch in his old stomping grounds.
He had it fenced off so no one else could get to it.
Matt B called up all his homies and claimed shit left and right.
Then he fulfilled his prophecy.
Josh intimidated Matt with his jerky while Z-Harm threatened Bennett with homework. Damn those handsome Harmonys.
Austin and Grif giggled with relief, knowing they were free from the Harm's wrath.

Because complacency is
self indulgence.
Because apathy is a disease.
Because willful ignorance is sadder than informed optimism.
Because handing the country to the organized but irrational, idealistic but unrealistic fringes of our culture has led to war, recession, fear, and divisiveness.
Because we can't do any worse.
Because we've rarely done better.

Darth Billy was popping Force floaters everywhere. Never underestimate the power of the dark side.
Edward enforced a law of nose-blunting every demo for life. And doing
impossible nose-taps too.
The Myspace costume was my favorite.

Ladies and gentlemen, Nicky Stardust and the Stoners from Phoenix.
The lovely Active Erica and her sister. (in the Motorhead shirt: priceless.)
Matt B followed the bluntslide law with this backside variety.

Two old men, one real, one fake.
Ed tore his pants and had to reel in his tackle.
Johnny came as a lein to tail. He had to stay in the air all day.

So this is part 1 of the Halloween Mega-Thon as seen through Ed Templeton's eyes (and camera)
There will surely be more photos coming soon from Kevin Barnett and Mike Sinclair...
Darth Vader showed up and started light-sabering kid's heads off. If that wasn't lame enough, he then started skating the course...
But he was ripping! And even with a cape! The force is strong with this one. Who the hell is this Dark Lord?
Hell yeah! It's Billy Marks!
Nick T was channelling some David Bowie.
Grant and Rob came dressed as skate-dykes, scissor-kissing all the way up to San Dimas. It would have been great if Grant shaved his beard off, then he would have been just a do-able as Rob. I would totally tap that!
Kevin came a priest, you can tell by the look on his face what he did to little boys before the demo. Crap, I should have arrested him.
Johnny was - wait, just a mexican? Dude, we live in Southern California! Neil Heddings was just dressed as himself.
Lets do that again without the pig, and throw me some mad-dog!
Of course Active Erica was there, but I didn't take it too far like I did last time, and all you get is this innocent photo.
This was Josh from Atascadero? We met him on tour.
Remember his hand?
Matt B was a tad creeped out by my commitment to being a cop.
PHOTO KEY
Logan Kincade showed up as Albert Einstein dressed as Griffin Collins,----weird.
Einstein should be smart enough to not bend over in front of a horny Darth with a big orange light-saber schlong.
Photo Key.
I smell a gay porn film coming on...
Ed with John McCain, one old white guy that will NOT be sleeping in the white house for once...
Do you smell bacon? I think I smell bacon...
These kids drove from Mesa, Arizona just to see Toy Machine. THAT is a Loyal Pawn. Anyone reading this from Arizona who didn't drive to California to see our demo on Halloween, is officially BLOWING IT.
Kevin donned the Darth doppelganger and did due diligence in these dire days, duh.
I was gonna use my 'death-deck' but I'm glad a didn't, because I shot my board at 100 miles per hour into some poor kid's shin. He would have been fucked.
Like we always do, the team got right to
schralpage. Austin kick-flipping into a back tail down the hubba... The first thing I did when I started skating was to eat complete shit, and I am pretty sure I
broke a rib. It was pretty hard to breathe, but since I was skating, it wasn't so bad. My cop pants did rip open and I may have flashed a ballsack at the crowd on accident, if so, I'm sorry.
Josh Harmony was all business, his costume was 'worlds nicest boy' and he was ripping.
The smoke machine was used to make our skating 'spooky'. It worked.
Matt B was getting wicked on the obstacles. Backside 180 Nosegrind anyone?
Man, Rob was looking pretty good, is he 18 yet? Marquise was there too!
Chicks dig cops, I got dibs on the bearded lady! Man he looks like some art damaged hippie who just got done doing a fire-stick twirling routine.
After the demo we signed autographs. This girl made these Toy character paintings that made mine look like crud. I was flattered. Look how creepy I am with a mustache. It magnifies the creepy I already have.
After the signing I left to go to Disneyland! That will be part 2 on
Ed's part of the site later...
Check out the
Toy Machine Costume Contest!!!!!!!

The cooler kids who were not worried about looking cool wore costumes! What Champs! And they also put themselves in the running for a 'PHAT' box of Toy Machine product.

Here are some of the costumes we had to choose from. I see a homeless dude, a self described 'old man ninja' and a, a, I don't know, Pornstar?

Looks like a Whoopie Cushion, A chubby George Bush, The guy from the SAW movies, and is that the invisible man back there? Now that I think about it, the
SAW guy should have won. Oh well.

We have a Reno 911 guy and a John McCain here, in the background we have a Toy MAchine MySpace page...
Photo Key.

Here we have mini Dracula, giant skull head guy, I see a clown back there too...

Some perp I brought in...

Handmade matching Toy/Halloween shirts! They got my vote!

Winner: Tapatillo Dude! He won the Toy package! They were filming for Fuel TV, so maybe this will be on there, someone let me know if it is, I never watch!
