These are the people who came over...
The girls made a 100% vegan food explosion. Roasted veggies, Biscuits, gravy, Mashed Potatoes, Fake turkey, grandma's corn relish, and everything in between!
Taylor cooks up some roasted and caramelized pears... They looked like
this after a while and the were ridiculously good with ice-cream and Stacy's homemade spice cake...

It's a long story, but we ended up in
Timothy Learys' house.
(Where I saw Adam Sandler smoking weed with some jocks in the backyard...)
This is 1996 or something, by the way, I just recently found this photo...
So we went to
Tim's house and there was a full on party going down, Keith Haring paintings on the walls, celebrities hanging out
(including Perry Farrell) and smoking, and this
crazy super old guy who was all about LSD in the 60's, and about to die.
I went over to him and shook his hand before I left.
Oh, and took a crap in his toilet...

Deanna stresses as a riot ensues outside, and chaos is everywhere...
I am telling the owner, along with Tod Swank, that if he doesn't play the movie, things will get a lot worse!

After waking up to
this news...

I went to see the show for the last time...
We shot photo in front of the
Kunsthalle...
We then went to the Art History Museum and saw things like
this epic Egyptian piece.
We wake up early and fly home tomorrow...

Snow is better than rain! We went to the Belvedere, a great and fancy palace which houses some great artwork by
Klimt, and Schiele, as well as Munch, Kokoschka, Gerstl, etc...
They have a great garden that is seemingly being worked on at the moment.
Cold but cozy in our parkas... (mines a Toy Machine!!)
I had a sit-down with two skaters I met back in 1991 when I first came to Vienna... Hans-Peter and Michael. Michael just had a baby boy, and Hans-Peter is a scientist, doctor, and teacher, but still skates every day!
Then in the evening, our friends Julie and Bennett invited us to the Opera!! My first one ever...

And no better place to see one I suppose than the world famous Vienna opera house!
It was over when the fat lady sang!
They aren't kidding!

It got real cold and hectic, but then turned nice, then back to crazy...
Back and forth all day.
More show photos:
We went to the Natural History Museum...

Where we looked at stuffed animals and all sorts of meteorites, as well as some nice dinosaur and early mammal skeletons... And some epic
Pteranodon's... And a
chupacabra?

And it seemed like a big success! People were happy to see Diane Arbus prints, and Larry Clark, Richard Avedon, etc... I was disapointed no skaters came... Where are the skaters in
Vienna???
There is also a book published about the exhibition by
Damiani.
Plus it freaking snowed today! "Twas colder that a witches left teat!" -says Deanna

She hates the cold.

It's at the Kunsthalle too!
Had lunch with my old freind Hans-Peter, and visited the Leopold museum, filled with Egon Schiele and Gustav Klimt's artwork...
Then saw some Picasso show at teh Albertina featuring his artwork from late in life...
It was
Halloween here too. But it didn't seem like a big deal here like it is in the USA. And most people dressed as either a devil or a witch. No weird costumes. It's not a consumer driven thing, people don't BUY in.
Saw this painting in a church:
