Getting the show ready to ship

It's coming down to the wire for my show in Belgium, the artwork has to be shipped by the end of this month.

Part of getting everything ready is cataloging all the stuff that is going. Every small little thing.

Show at HVW8 in LA

Same night as Deanna's show...

The show was at HVW8 and organized by Yoshi from Megane Zine. There were lots of artists in the show with me. I contributed drawings I had done for Toy Machine graphics, or Emerica shoes. Mostly drawings of Transisitor Sect or Turtle-Boy.

Deanna's group show in LA

I didn't really shoot as much as I should have...

The place was raging with people, and hotter than a withered and abused witch's teat. Wait those are usually cold. Some models came too, Devon Aoki was checking Deanna's art out, too bad Deanna hates models.

Deanna's stuff is seen behind these lowly art pawns who grovel at the moist nipple of Deanna's greatness.

This is Marsea, she owns New Image Art. We go way back.

My strange evening...

No love in days, so much to do and never any time.

Started off in LA helping Deanna hang her part of a group show at New Image Art.

Then on the way home got called by RVCA to help paint a banner that will be at this trade show.

The model I'm standing on is Erin Wasson. Shot by the indubitable Terry Richardson.

"What will I paint on her?"

"Hey JGonz, DBriggs, Jacob, Eggs, Vinny and the other commenters, how are you?"

Turtle-Boy will walk all over you.

Kelsey Brooks was there painting part of the banner as well.

George from RVCA is an accomplished artist and started on the other side.

George was killing it, making my stupid sect painting look dumb!

Fixing shit. We had to "cover the boobs" because its a "family" trade show.

My plumbers' crack was covered, sorry ladies.

New Years Eve 2009 and into 2010

Did anyone see Dick Clark? That made me sad. But then I kissed into the new year...

Then out to shoot off fireworks Billy Marks left in a tour van over 5 years ago. There was so much that I still have some. Yes that is one tiny rocket lifting off back there.
