The last of Berlin...

I have more photos from Berlin. Actually I'm home now, got back yesterday, and now have a fast computer and plenty of time to do this web-log. It's hard when you are trying to experience a city, see it, walk amongst it, take photos, eat, keep a dairy, and create an exciting but informative itinerary for a young couple's first encounter with said city. You realize there is no time for something so metaphysical and illusory as blogging.

Did some photo-boothing while the youngs were out eating dinner.

Who likes waiting for those?

The tower is omnipresent.

"You look familiar."

It's nice to see the young couple soaking in the culture. Who knows what sort of impression this trip will have on their lives. Will it instill the travel bug? Has this informed their world view?

These critters, although mythological, are pretty cool. When people walked into the ancient city of Babylon, and through the Ishtar gate and beheld this beast, I wonder what went through their minds.

As mentioned above, saw a Pettibon show at CFA in Berlin.

Sabrosa Bebida time. Leckere Getränke doesn't have the same poetry, so it stays in Spanish.

The rest of my photos from Copenhagen, even though I still have Berlin photos to post, and I'm posting these from Rome...

Ashley has a destroyed knee thanks to some butthole driver that ran her over, now she has a really hard time walking, and that's all I'm making her do as we walk all over Europe. Bumming. But hopefully bumming and being enriched at the same time, and not holding a grudge on me.

The biggest city in Demnark: Part 2

By over 200,000 people.

Here we go. If this was in the USA these people would be arrested immediately for offending somebody, and possibly put on the sexual predator list. But In Copenhagen, all is good. These people are promoting the use of sunscreen cream.

Grant and I checked out the bowl in Christiania. There were boards laying around and only a few young kids skating flat at the bottom of the ramp. We grabbed the boards and started zipping.

Adventures in Copenhagen

Some images captured via pocket digi-cam expressly for by beloved web log viewers.

Flying into Europe is a long day and by the time we are ready to get on our plane to Denmark from London, we are dead.

For the skaters.

I love that in Europe they don't worry about lawsuit enticing playground equipment.

Carlsberg used to use the swastika was a symbol before Hitler ruined it. In the buildup and aftermath of the war of course, they stopped using it.

The brewery is covered in Swastikas...

Deanna is wondering, what's up with these? Then we did some research.
