Templeton, I think you should stop hanging out with Larry Clark, cause Tulsa and Teenage Lust are cool, but all his other shit is just fucking lame and completely insincere, and your stuff is by far the greatest art anyways. So if you want your street cred art points to go up, stop hanging out with pedophile crazy Larry and maybe chill with Corinne Day or Raymond Pettibon more, cuase they're cool too. Peace, also I wish i could see your art show, but i live in the northwest and all we have here is just nonstop redneck action and rodeos. But i'm gonna probably buy your Golden age of neglect book, so it'll make up for the loss.

I don't hang out with Larry Clark.

I know the guy, and what he did in photography is legendary. I have respect for him. I met Pettibon too, and he is crazy.

I'm not trying to get "street cred."
I already have it because I skate the streets all the time. If anything, Larry C. is trying to get street cred off of me!

But then again, we don't hang out.

PS: I'm not a fan of LC's later stuff either. His movie 'Kids' is great though, and a Huge book came out last year called Punk Picasso, and it has lots of out takes from Tulsa and Teenage Lust. It's probably impossible to find, and real expensive, but take a look if you can...

PPS: thanks for the compliments!

of course you don't hang out, it seems LC's living in the other time dimension. he's a senior. and you're one of the alleged kids generation.
anyway, i'm a fine art college student and i'm a fan of Ed's, Pettibon's, and LC's art. they're just awesome!

I just didn't know if you guys were like bros, hahah . No i know i was for the most part just joking. And yeah i am fine art college student also, I respect all of those artists, i just think that Clark seems to have drifted away in just getting hype and attention by doing things for shock value you know, like Ken Park and all that obsession with teens. But Ed I just joking aboutall the street cred stuff, i think you are one of the best artists around these days, especially when the art world has become so dishonest. So thanks for actually commenting back to my comment, I think it's amazing that you take time to read this stuff and comment back to people, you are definetly a fucking legend. So cheers.

ps. When is DEFORMER (the book, the movie is very nice by the way) officially coming out? Cause I've seen it now pop up on amazon and stuff, but I wasn't sure if it was actually out.

Anyways, peace out dude, sorry for bothering you with all this stuff.

I think anyone that is a photographer or film maker owes a lot to Larry Clark. Enough said.

PS His new stuff isn't even that shocking.
