A vertical of the same shot was used as the cover of ANP QUARTERLY, A magazine that RVCA puts out that I help edit.
I was actually asked to shoot both Jason Schwartzman and Raymond Pettibon together...
BlackBook was doing a thing where two people interview each other. Jason is a big fan of Pettibon's art, and asked to interview him. So I show up to shoot this, and there are stylists and wardrobe people ready to do make-up on them! I sent them away.
I shot Polaroid positive/negative film. I gave one to Schwartzman. Pettibon is fucking nuts. He was spinning some serious BS to Jason!! He was talking about how he surfs giant waves, and played Tony Alva's stunt double on the Dogtown movie... (both lies)

The Kill Ed Templeton Game had to stop because it was sending a bad message to kids regarding gay people. (beacsue there was a word bubble coming from my mouth that said "kill me i'm a fag!") GLAAD, the gay and lesbian association against defamation sent us tons of letters, and Swank didn't remove it fast enough, and they flipped out and started flooding his mailbox with hate letters. It was funny, because a lesbian lady who worked at Tum-yeto made the game...
