Catalina Adventures
The other day Deanna and I decided to go to Santa Catalina by ourselves. It is about 28 miles off the coast of Los Angeles and Orange County.
The boat ride over is fun, and often you see dolphin. We didn't see any this day, but probably because we fell asleep...
This tile artwork, a mosaic if you will, is at the big round Casino Ballroom, the landmark building in the town of Avalon. It is not a casino with gambling, but a movie theater and a ballroom.
This is the Casino from the small boat I rented.
And here is Deanna on a small secluded beach we found, miles north of Avalon.
The beach was rugged, and nobody was around. You can really get a feel for what California must have been like before humans came to fuck it up. We swam with a stingray, and shared the beach with large Brown Pelicans. Harbor seals and Sea Lions swam around everywhere.
When we left the moon was rising, and it had been a great day.

Man I can't wait till me and Andrew go on our road trip, we are gonna go visit our lady friends over in Spokane. Its gonna be fun just crusin, Andrew put a new sound system in his ghetto car so we should have a fun ride there. I'm stoked you have no freakin clue!!!

Santa Catalina looks amazing! I remember reading a book about it when I was in grade four or five... The story said that there was a single tribe of Native Americans that could only be found on the island. I remember reading that the inhabitants were gradually overcome with disease, to the point where only one member of the tribe remained... Now I want to find out what book that was!
Anyways, I went to Wolfe Island outside of Kingston Ontario in mid August this year. It's the largest island in the St. Lawrence river, and there's lots to see and do there too!

I wonder what life would be like if we destroyed all modern technology and had to restart.How many People would die.No one has really said anything on the topic of overpopulation.That is becoming a big problem.It contributes alot to polution.When i see those Mega complex's and huge towers where they expect people to live,it gets me kinda sad knowing nature wont be around.People need to be sterelized or something.Those religious dudes who have about 50 kids and thank God for all of them

Hey did you hear that Conway and Whitman show with Steve Irwin's brother, Irwin Irwin? He was telling people to break of a stingray's stinger and stick them in the chest with it.
That guy does great impressions man. The delay was sweet.

Hey dude...Catalina is one the sickest places to be. it has sum alright skating too.. they have a 8 stair rail sum ledges n hubbas a kicker bank like 7th street school in San Pedro and a lot of hills!!! oh yeah cant forget the skatepark which really needs sum improvement.. i guess the locals cant work on it enoug or sumthing...oh and if you ever wanna skate there.. i gotta pad there too..
