We got up and out early by taxi to Damiani...

Where they had a book dummy. (a Deformer cover put on a blank book the same size and shape as my book.) It was very exciting to see.

Gianni showed me the ropes, and we got to making small adjustments.

He is the RULER!

We were able to view sheets of the book as they were being printed to check the color and density.

Deanna was excited as well.

This is the machine popping out pages of the book.

A guy pulls a sheet out every once in a while to give it a quality check.

This is the Magenta part of the printer. printing is all done in only 4 colors, Cyan (blue) Magenta (red) Yellow, and Black (K). I saw a guy pour yellow ink into the yellow part of the machine. It was pretty great to check out.

We took a lunch break in the rain.

When we got back to Damiani, there were palettes of my book sitting there!

It was pretty cool. They are fast!

The best part was viewing the sheets. I had been working in B&W the whole time, so it was cool to see it in color for the first time.

To clean the heads and get the ink flowing, they print a bunch of mistake sheets...

Later that evening, we got out into the city center. These banners were hanging and drew us to them with their beauty.

They were high up there. Look how small Deanna is!

This street reminded me of home. Happy B-Day Grif!

We ate some serious veggie food at the 'Nature Center' a caffeteria type place that ripped pretty hard.

More food. Stacy, you would love this place!

A very enchanting day for sure.
