Two great people stopped by today...
Ian Mackaye is in town doing some Q&A sessions around southern California and stopped by for a visit. Ian is a new father with his partner and bandmate in The Evens, Amy Farina. Their son's name is Carmine. We took them to Mothers around the corner for some food...
Great person #2 was Geoff Rowley, who came to eat dinner with us and go see the talk at UC Irvine.
This was the talk - very inspiring.

Ed, I checked out Fugazi for the first time because you suggested them in an interview and I've been a big Dischord fan ever since (Q and not U!!). Thank you for that. I think Ian's music has made a lot of people think. That must have been a really interesting night. I would love to hear one of Ian's talks.

I really doubt that Morrissey is as approachable as Ian or Rollins. I could have possibly met him twice, once was a video shoot where I knew the casting person and could have went, and another was a catering gig for some event where I knew the caterer, both times I didn't go.
