Santa Catalina Island, part of the Channel Islands off California's coast.
We started out south from Avalon, and had our lunch on the little boat...
With the motor off it was very relaxing, you could only hear the water and these Sea Lions barking at each other.
Sharks?------------- No, only Sea Lions relaxing. They like to lay at the surface on their side, but to us humans, it looks a lot like a shark.
Seeing them jump up and try to get a spot is pretty entertaining because the ones that are already on there bark and bite to keep thier spots.
Deanna floats to shore on her Chill Tube, she puts a wetsuit on just to get her ass wet.
We found one of a plethora of deserted beaches to explore, this one is called Willow Cove and there is a campsite there.
The waters were tranquil, and there were barely any people around.
We headed back into Avalon.
The famous Casino Ballroom. That house on the hill in the background?
William Wrigley's house, now a hotel.
The Wrigley Memorial, finished in 1934, was supposed to be the resting place of William Wrigley, but things changed and he is not buried here. So now it is just a nice place to check out.
Things are changing in Avalon. Hopefully for the better. But we fear it may be for the worse.
