Nuoro, Italy: Part 6

Il Cimitero della Ragione, the build up to the opening AND the opening: Mega-Post.
Breakfast of Skateboarders.

Posters around town...
Once again, everyone else making "my art" but me...
Deanna, Biancone, and Vincenzo painting it black.
The museum desk...
Hanging the bubble.
Making the bubble meander...

On Gaurd!
Finally nailed it.
The finished installation.
Apparently, I'm the new Warhol.
Tim gets amped on Il Cimitero della Ragione.
Looks like someone is bootlegging Toy Machine in Italy. Our bloodsucking lawyers are all over it. The day of the opening there will be a skate jam for the community.
"Hey, what's it like being the New Warhol?"
Deanna 'posed' me for a portrait. What an honor being shot by the master.
Deanna shot me shredding the ramp. But someone else got a better shot of my 'stunt,' a taildrop from the gaurd rail.
Creating new Loyal Pawns in Sardegna. This guy is the one who let me borrow his board.
Did some 'street art' on someone's van.
The girls look very cute today, especially Deanna.
These guys hooked me up. Vincenzo and Biancone.
Getting gas might be worth a digital photo, no?
The elevator has a DVD screen and we are showing the sketchbook video Kevin and I made.
More of an elevator shot...
The text in Italiano.
Kids hiding out.
The skateboard-check.
The opening was going off. Free booze and a DJ outside. Inside, people and stuff to look at.
Even young kids were getting amongst the artwork.

The Timster and the Tempster.
The aforementioned DJ...
Not neglecting the Sock-Team. Sect-sock makes a grand appearance at the opening.
The general atmosphere was happy.
Elke attacked Deanna.
Signing a book for a kid's aunt.
The top floor.
The Emerica/Cemetery of Reason shirts were a hit with the skaters of Nuoro.

Hello Ed,
I saw your "The Cementary..." in Gent, Belgium, wich was one of the best Ex I saw, and after I got some travelling inspiration here, I will go to sardegna this summer, too and of course see the exhibtion there.

Am I already stalking or still in the normal parameters of loyal pawnism?
P.S. I heard Sardegna is a snake-packed Island, i´m a grown up man, but no snakes on the plane for me please.
Posted By: Visitorx on August 1st, 2010 at 04:18AM PST
Actually there are no venomous snakes on Sardegna. I didn't see any snakes or even hear that there are a lot here. There are barely any animals. Go to Cala Gonone, and check out the Blue Marino caves!

fantastic post! Ed, do you plan out what you write in the word bubbles, or is it stream of consciousness?

Oranges & bananas are my favorite. Always gotta have nanas, orange tree in the backyard. Tons of different oranges.

I want that poster.

The new Warhol? Holy shit, instead of Chelsea Girls, you have Chelsea Boys. All of us pawns can be your girls. Weird. I bet they have no idea you have a following of teenage boys, some older.

Are those the heads from your other show?

You got to skate a mini-ramp with someone else's board? By yourself? Odd.

I want you to draw that on my arm but with a needle & some ink.

Beautiful girls.

That drawing of Kevin is spot on. What does one have to do to peak into that black book?

What a lovely Italian(?) women in that photo. Dig the fro.

Looks like we missed out again on some good art & times.

Where did those shirts come from? Those are awesome.

Oh, Elke...

Really like the idea of having the art in 3D making the viewer part of the art almost. Ed your art has really come a long really well I'm glad to see that you get to show case that. Ever thought of making a dvd about this im sure other people besides myself would like to see it.
