Catalina Adventure from June 2010

Just scanned a proof sheet from a old trip to Catalina with Grant and Ashley.

Driving around in a golf cart.
This guy may have cut my hair when I was a 16 year old boy. I had skater bangs and was in Catalina swimming when I saw some kids make fun of my hair. I tripped so hard, and was so sick of wearing a hat that I went to the barber and asked for the haircut that Don Brown had on the cover of Transworld that month. The only way to describe it, was a tall flat-top. Ah, youth.
Deanna and Ashley look at the new zip-line.
Went to Willow Cove for some lunch on our own private beach. There were a couple skeletons of dead Pelicans.
Rugged country. Southern California before humans wrecked it.
Those birds are quite big.
Public Affection, always recommended around me.

ooh that road tree photo! beaut of an angle..looks like a shiny sky yet dull and vintage-y, lively.
that tree is ideal for a mega-slingshot.

i got this slingshot that was passed from grandpa to dad and to me and its made of some special wood..handcrafted, designed, and built by the older dude.

palm springs, anyone? we are going this friday!

for those who want to see another food tour say \"aye\"
for those who don\'t say \"nay\"

First photo looks like the Philippines or something. Maybe cause it's photos together.

3rd photo with the tree statue. Made me stare for a second or two.

Driving in a Golf cart, and antiquing? Uh oh.

Barber looks Morose. I had to dip into my vocabulary to come up with a word.

The other day we were digging up some dirt to assemble a greenhouse in the backyard. We found the tin box I buried my parakeet, petey,in a little over 5 years ago. His feathers were still bright blue. Except his eyes are empty since they rotted away.

People always take stabs at Southern California, and then there's people around the world that fantasizes about living in California, or anywhere in the United States. Our Tv's don't really beam the whole picture.

Thrasher Magazine presents: Ed Templeton's food tour.
Imagine that. Just drink lots of beer and always be around a pool, then you'll reach the desired demographic either way.
Maybe food tour would have more entertainment value if you ate ridiculous food paired with ridiculous portion sizes.
Does anyone else watch that Man Vs. Food show? I watched that show in my brother's dorm room and his roommates would get hungry watching it, and since they have to eat crappy dorm food or go to a fastfood restaurant. real wholesome food looked better. But eating real food actually costs money.

i have to eat crappy ramen or something all the time- so when I get some real good food I"m just like all for it and eat as much as I can. Veggies fuck yeah. Like I was super stoked on my onions that I sliced for my sandwich... and the lettuce. Yum.

It's been gloomy for awhile now- so these are nice photos to look at, especially paranormal spooky tree. That's pretty cool. I stared at it briefly as well.

Just came over here from Thrasher website. Wow. I don't know why I even bothered posting there before. I was thinking of something interesting today- Juxtapoz and Thrasher share the same building (I'm pretty sure) So like, Ed probably gets to chill equally in both sections since he's all artsy/skateboard guy right? that would be nice.

anyhow- gotta go do some homework. avoir.

The photo of the tree is so good. I think everyone said something about it. It draws the viewer in. I really enjoy it, but can't pin down the reasons why. I like the pelican on the ground, skeletons always appeal to me, whether its a whole skeleton or just a part haha. I also don't know why that appeals to me. Am i weird? haha

No one answered fresh. I say "aye" and since i can't resist.......Josiah would definitely say aye too. Except he'd find a way to say aye and doggy style rape it or something.

The last picture is great. I know they're fish but I want them to be hammerhead sharks, because hammerheads are where its at right now.
