Halloween is upon us, and Snata Monica boulevard is a hot-spot of den of iniquity, depending on where you stand.
Josh Harmony, might think den, but he surely has other talents besides skating.

Posted October 20th, 2010 by Josh Harmony is a great musician, did you know?
the guy with the long lenses kinda scares me, do they let you do that at the beach?(take pictures of half-naked people without their consent)

as long as i dont come out naked im cool, cause it could be some super famous artist who owns a skateboard company.

in your nude photo, your leg is as white as that wall. but then again, so are mine.

in the spirit of halloween, the first photo looks a bit like a zombies. its a good one

and the house tour rules. wasn't that photo of billy and the crew listening to johnny have sex turned into a toy ad? and i think in a video they said the gonz was the first to 50 50 a handrail in NYC. but what about Pat Duffy? maybe he was just the first to 50 50 a super gnarly double kinked round rail? someone sort it out for me.

I wonder if there was a group of daily commenters before us. I should do something for the sock team, Wikipedia page?
Posted By: john on October 20th, 2010 at 11:14AM PST
Gonz and Natas were the first to boardslide a rail. I think Gonz also did the first 50-50 on a rail. The first photograph of a 50-50 on a rail "in a magazine" was mine, although, the same month Danny Sargent had a 50-50 photo on a smaller rail in an ad for some company in Thrasher. I'm not claiming I was the first at all. Probably many people were trying that and doing it simultaneously. I was just the first one to get it into a magazine. Johnee Kopp was the first person to get a boardslide on a handrail photo in a mag. The rail is still there on PCH and I drive by it all the time. It's tiny and no one would even look at it today.
Posted By: ed on October 20th, 2010 at 11:20AM PST
thanks for the clarification. i mean, i think mag proof is important in skateboard history, it's sort of like the only real proof, besides word of mouth.

the rails no one even looks at today. those are sock-team rails. new sock team video: montage of 3-5 stair handrail boardslides.

i think people will like this. here is a video of my good friend Billy Rohan, filmed and edited by my good friend Colin Read. Its some unofficial interview with footy revealing some interesting information surrounding him and his career:

Ed's butt/legs aren't really hairy.
I think that's a pretty good photo, a big plastic phone. and the cord is all tangled, body all tangled. can't see the face.
Kinda reminds me of a mixture of Hand in Glove and William it was Really Nothing's single art.

Ed's so modest when it comes to his accomplishment.
Ed,get up. Take your shirt off. Look in a mirror and tell yourself
"Listen, fucker. I'm da shit"

Did Jharm kick his wife out of his band? Just kidding.

I remember that guy with the long lenses.

I think the whole "Emo" thing has kinda blow over. But I dunno, I don't hang around the highschool/mall. Whatever.
I don't think you can be an Artist without showing emotion.
Conservative Artists?
Let's all group hug to mend our broken hearts.
From Emo to Hippy.

So,about that comment about Pot Smoking bachelor pads. Quite a bit of people usually have a bong on their coffee table.I guess it's kinda a more age demographic thing. I was with my friend in his room, and there was a point of silence. and he made the joke "So,I guess this is the time where I pull my bong out". Because that's what usually happens around people.

Billy Rohan is on Element? Was he big a while back? I think I remember him in some old 411vms I have. Or maybe I'm trippin'.
Alex Olson was in that vid.Cool.

Speaking of Ed´s photo as a reference to musicimagery. ..
although he´s much more handsome, this picture came across my mind..

AH! I miss this blog & you all so much.

I have so much to say, but I also just want to shut the computer because I've missed so much..

I want to approach that man & ask him if he is a good person.
We all know he loves his Jesus.

I read on a shitty, Christian clothing site that God either wants you 100% into him, or 100% not. "All shall be spit out of God's mouth if otherwise", or some bullshit like that. Most likely written by a high school kid in youth group.
If so, God made a bad decision to give people free will.

Hot ass.
Shopping cart kid knows how to do things.

JGonz & I went in on some lenses like that. Best partnership investment ever.

Carolyn & I have nowhere to go after the first of november. We had a place in Orange, but the owner's wife is divorcing him and is taking the house through the court. I was told I had the place & lost it within an hour. I have never been more depressed.

HB library is amazing. I wish I had a camera. There is a man wearing a Nascar hat, cut-off skull shirt, blue (faded to white) Levis, reading a book on eagles. Behind me there is an asian man, plucking the hairs on his face with tweezers. Book open, but no eyes scanning it. Then there is the dork in front of me; mid fifties, high water pants (not like Reider), comb-over, skinny, lanky & tall, & awkward. All the while it is sunny, for the first time in days, & I'm (somewhat) doing homework.

Now, I have to get back to the circle of fifths & trying to find a place to live.

Hopefully, we shall all speak soon.

Yeah- I kinda feel embarassed, but at the same time. It's pretty cool I guess. They edited it way down. Reda and I talked pretty much the whole time about his camera and stuff and he kinda ripped on me for my piercings and shit.

Louie did more grinds on that huge ass bank plus he ended up ollieing a gosh darned picnic table that was even bigger than it.... that thing doesn't look it, but it's like hip high, just a little higher. It's amazing. He was definitely ripping it.

also- going back to this post, I was originally going to say that ed's ass looks super non hairy. but then I pussied out, but then I came back here to post it, and jgonz beat me to it.

I don't see much of Hemlock around anymore for some reason and when he does post it's super short. "hi" or something. Hemlock if you're lurking, hi back to you.

the caption "Deanna sneak attacked me but I deserved it" makes me think... as a photographer, you kind of have to sacrifice the modesty and allow yourself to get photographed. I mean it's kind of like the crack head condemning the heroine addict. You go out, get yourself involved in something like that, and end up becoming part of what you are creating.

wow that sounds mean or something. Or demeaning. I didn't mean it to be. Um. yeah but does that make sense?

Ok well, I'm out like shout. word to your mother.

Reading your comment was a little different now that I've seen you on video.
I'm on the berrics page, watching the video. And it's hilarious when you click on the little Triangle Seeker thing on the video then it kinda pauses the video and makes it glitch. I'm holding the seeker and making everything Dan says like glitch all funny.

My asshole hairs can grow to like two inches in length.

Was that the camera they filmed the Lakai video on or whatever?

Anyway, dan, Are you ok with me putting the video on the Sock Team blog? your options:
A)Don't Post it
B)Post it,but don't mention who you exactly are
C)Post it and say you're the guy in the orange hat
D)Premium package: I post the video, say who you are, and post a link to your Tumblr

Congratulations to you diggitydan for real-lifing yourself.

The Nicholas Cage quote.....where do I begin? Is that a quote from a role in a movie? or is that just him? He's mad weird either way, I've always thought that haha. I didn't even think that was a lizard in that photo either, thought it was a snail shell for some reason.

So, Ed...does anybody play that mustang bass?
Posted By: Mike on October 20th, 2010 at 09:20PM PST
MUSSELS?
Posted By: Mike on October 20th, 2010 at 09:24PM PST
Yeah, that Bass caught my eye too.
Who plays!?!

that guy with the long lenses is nothing compared to the other photographers out there. i surf close to every day and some of those surf photographers are straight up creepers around the pier. The CALSURFPIX is the worst, I think he does drugs.

I like the little Modest Mouse reference in the broken neck picture.
