Deanna's Exhibition: The OPENING

Some things you missed (or didn't care about at all) by not living in LA or coming to the show.
Who is the first person we run into? C. R. Stecyk the Third. Very sweet of him to come!
See coverage of Deanna's show at Living Proof Magazine...
In the parking lot we run into Lucy Vallely, where's your mom?
This friendship runs pretty damn deep.
That's Ashley, Jim, and Amber.
Grant and Ashley talk to Kevin.
Kevin came and showed disdain at my photo taking.
Amber and Stew!
"Why you taking a photo of my lady?" –Jim Skuldt.
Arto Saari, that guy, Mimi, and Deanna.
Someone shot the same photo with Arto's camera.
Shot by Arto...
Baron and Arto. Geoff Rowley was there too but I just realized I didn't get a photo of him.

Another Amber and Stew shot.
Scott Pommier refused to be photographed. But we were happy he came!
I signed a board.

Deanna sniffs a flower that Lindsay brought to her. How sweet!
She loves it!
Fancy desserts, yeah we went there.
Congrats Deanna! Your show was awesome.

hahahahahaha to John.
Skid marks is what that one reminded me of..

Deanna looks gorgeous!

You look frightful to have a kid in your arms.. haha.
Imagine a Templeton baby.. Fuckin' powerhouse of artsy shit.

Arto is badass. With or without a leather jacket.

I wish I could've gone. I was up studying all night with Carolyn, if you know what I mean.. But yeah, these midterms are gonna blow.
Next semester I'm taking a photography class, & that's it. Those classes run 3 to 4 hours though.. But It's what I want, & what I need incase I don't have a job.

I'm actually going to skate today.. I'm pretty fucking stoked.

See ya!

HAPPY HALLOWEEN, ya' fuck asses..

deanna also utilizes the photo blob. but her entire set up is more "linear" and "clean." nevertheless, she has a mix of styles you don't often see in photography.

photographs are sweet. as I get older I notice more about compositional things. especially since I'm in this printmaking class and finding out everyday that it's all about the TECHNIQUE (even if that means randomly taking a picture on the fly on a subpar camera/camera phone becuase something strikes your fancy right then and there).

Deanna must have a large feeling of contentment in her life to be with such a cool guy like Ed, but also, Ed must feel even more happy since he has such a cool wife that is so involved in the same things as he is. Often I wonder if she would ever want to go on skate tours with ed just to keep him company or get the chance to see more oppurtunities for photos. It must suck going on tour or being away, skateboarding and your wife is at home. Distance and yearning make a heart ache.

I keep trying to think about the international Toymachine but it never seems to work out in my small brain. I remember the post from Jgrandala where it showed a Japanese Toy posse. was it real? probably. Most teams have an international team. Sock Team: NO EXCEPTION!!!!
Posted By: d1ggitydan on November 2nd, 2010 at 06:24PM PST
I was googling around and found this.

I wonder, a lot of Eddy's material comes from Tours. what if he stops going on tours?
It's funny how we wonder about Ed's life, on Ed's blog.
Let me dig up that Japanese link for you:
Their blog isn't as fun

My name in Japan is Jgonzu.

yeah,Jacob. I love how we say things on this blog/other blogs that we wouldn't really say in real life. Like shit about world domination, our overlord and minister of propaganda.
Now we're gonna be sent off to Education camps to be re-informed.Plenty of SOMA and skateboarding will do it.
Posted By: Jgonzalez on November 2nd, 2010 at 06:37PM PST
We're dorks. What can ya' do about it...?
I think it's healthy. Who the fuck else can say they use the terms "overlord" and/or "loyal pawns" in everyday vocabulary?
What's that thing on the internet.. "FTW", fuck the world, right?
So stupid, but it's relevant.

too bad ed doesn't have some sort of way to post something that signifies it is him and no one else can do the same.

i was looking through some mike maldanado stuff yesterday and I remember having like a shit ton of his photos from Transworld up on my bedroom wall. one photo that comes to mind in particular is this huge HUGE boardslide down a rather long hubba that is in black and white and then this other where he's ollieing off a gigantic dumpster into the street.

I never understood "hella"....does that make me sound hella old?
Posted By: Mike on November 3rd, 2010 at 04:43PM PST
It makes you hella gay since you have no steez.
Just kidding, mike. Be proud you have good grammar.

Yep, Prop 19 got voted down. Thanks to all the old farts that think it's somehow worse than alcohol. I voted "Yes" even though it would most likely destroy the local economy where I live. Or maybe improve it. It was a gamble. But I thought it was similar to Alcohol prohibition which was brought on by religious people, that lead to Violance and Al Capone's ass and in this case I guess Mexicans and Douche Bag growers that fight each other. Anyway, the general public doesn't know that not everyone that smokes weed is glued to a couch. I've seen alcoholics totally rage and lose control, the worst thing I've seen a stoner do is fall asleep or gorge on food. Anyway, the argument against it contained something about Children will be harmed since there aren't any guidelines saying you can't smoke weed at work, like common sense/decency is going to be thrown out the window, and they specifically used an example that a School Bus Driver will go to work high and crash and all the little kids would die. It reminded me of Otto from the Simpson's. Oh well, that's my little opinion.

But hey, at least Meg Whitman dumped all of her money into a campaign, and lost to Brown who didn't even campaign that much until later. And Gavin Newsom won, he has some badass slicked back hair.
Posted By: Jgonzalez on November 3rd, 2010 at 05:52PM PST

Hey Vinny, nice.
You really get to see some Germany on your stay.

Well making recommendations, is depending on
what you´re looking for. It´s propably good or even
necessary to have some local guidance there.

Berlin is packed with stuff to discover and get
inspired of.It´s like going to New York or
something, what recommendations do you have?

Berlin-Mitte, Friedrichshain, Pankow/Kreuzberg
are like most frequented parts of the city and you´ll
propably find everything"cool" you heard of Berlin,

Berlin-Mitte is like all new and pretty much what
you expect of a modern metropole.
Typical modern architecture, bars and stuff.

Friedrichshain and Pankow especially Kreuzberg
are more "rough" and interessting ,especially
Kreuzberg is the place where most of evertyhing
art happens, and ever since happend.

Also, I guess, it´s like the most famous part of
Berlin outside of Berlin, with it´s long traditional
riots, on every first of may, since 23 years now.

I would guess that´s more your direction, so
going there shouldn´t be disappointing at all.

There are also places I wouldn´t go myself at
times, but you just don´t stumble into them.

As I said, it should be the best to get some local
at hand but as I also said, there´s so much to discover
you propably just get sucked in and have a good time.
My best wishes for that.

Am I seriously the only german truckerfucker here?

Ed´slam was the hardest ever.

His brain just fuckin popped out,
but is creative soul was still protected
under some hair he obviuosly has growing
even under his brain, wich maybe allowed
him to manage the situation so elegantly.

That´s what seperates a true superhero

how is it that you guys get daily shipments of socks? I was actually telling someone about that actual slim percentage of lose for Prop19 and it was funny because it turned into a huge conversation about pros and cons of weed and there weren't like any cons to it. I don't get it. I know weed up here isn't so looked down on and I am very surprised that it isn't already legal up here or on the West coast.

lost like ten pounds skateboarding. I don't know if that's considered tooting my own horn, but if so, *toot*

speaking of tooting, I constantly have the urge to rip a huge fart in yoga when I go and it's super hard to keep em in. I think when I go tomorrow i'm just going to let it go to kingdom come and blast it. I remember seeing ed and arto doing warrior II stance together in a hotel room while typing this.

as far as people's quantity over quality posts to get higher numbers or something; I feel like maybe if you think that way then try and wait until you have something to say or if it's short just throw that on there if you think it's beneficial to others as far as entertainment or thought provocation. just my two cents. if that sounds rude I'm sorry I don't mean to come off that way, I'm totally cool with shit tons of posts and it would be sweet to see the numbers get to 100's or whatever (very possible with non-loyal newcomers throwin shit around on the blog)

Ed, I know you like underwater stuff, as do I, so I thought you would like this > > >
