finding random graffiti that exhibits what you are into is really cool. It's like, 'damn, keep persuading myself that I am the only one around this area that knew about such and such a thing' but nope!

anyhow- a ton of things I posted yesterday were all cut off for some reason. I don't know why. but I didn't have the motivation to go back and re-write the missing articles. luckily after morning yoga I see Ed is still attempting to throw what he can on the site. so I thought I would go ahead and fill in some of the space with the missing stuff from yesterday.

first off; with the influx of pros migrating to nike, the thought of sweat shops that are justified through profit earnings keeps coming to mind. this video goes through a bit of stuff that you might also find interesting

also- going along with the underwater thing I found this thing and thought it was really funny and kind of weird those are salmon, yup. delicious, delicious salmon migrating across a once busy road.

whatever. ok, this is kind of stupid but whatever. One thing i found interesting was I just found out chris cole's name isn't chris. that's his middle name apparently but I can't remember off the top of my head what his real first name is. but yeah. pros always have interesting names. Mark APPLEYARD, ed TEMPLETON, Satva LEUNG.... I could keep going but I won't. It's a pre-requisite to being sponsored, you have to have an interesting name.

alrighty then I'm gonna catch breakfast.

Speaking of Sweatshops and shit. I read Paul Rodriguez' interview in Transworld. He talks about being a Christian, and they didn't ask him if Jesus Christ would wear Nike shoes or anything. I would of asked him how he felt about Jesus and Sweatshops. then again, most corporations love cheap labor so we're screwed until people stop being tempted by cheap clothes, which will most likely not happen. But people that actually think are the minority in the world.
Prod is sponsored by target. Dude, Fucking target. but he said he gets gift cards periodically, and who wouldn't love that shit? your sponsor straight up pays you and pays for your food.
Selling out doesn't even apply to skateboarding anymore? Is selling out even possible?

I liked that video, but I guess you could argue it's a liberal video or some bullshit. I guess the conservative mentality would be that those people should just go find a better job somewhere else or should start their own business to compete against their employer. And if they don't have the opportunity I guess they should quit being complainy whiny babys, and have more self reliance.

Today I'm wearing shoes, a t-shirt,and flannel from a thrift store. Only my pants and underwear are new. I'm doing my part to recycle. Usually my pants and/or skate shoes are new that I wear.

And about interesting names, I was watching the enjoi video Bag of Suck one time, and my mother asked "Are these their real names?" when they had names like Jerry Hsu,Caswell Berry, Louie Barletta, you know. I've thought about that too,Dan, skaters have to have cool names. or at least nicknames. like Lizard King, instead of Mike Plumb. Plumbs.

His name is James Cole

I'm sure that Boo Johnson dude is getting up in skateboarding, because his name is fucking Boo Johnson.

And about pointless commenting. Anybody might as well post whatever. It's all good, we've got captchas now.

And about this little tag piece sect. It didn't really come out that clean.

Ed's becoming a link horder.jk.

So,guys. Looks like I got a job. And heaven knows I'm miserable now. just kidding.
I work at a Grocery store now.
Grocery Outlet,bitch.

dude that's awesome! job hunting myself, I get really discouraged but I will never go back to corporate america so in a way, I'm kind of making it harder for myself lately. I just don't want to support something I don't believe in anymore. and as far as you throwin some vintage clothes on yourself, I totally am down with that. I do the same. I only buy newer or new clothes every once in a great while. anyhow- if you go to urban outfitters, you can see they are emulating that type of style anyhow and ripping you, as well as the sweat shops off by high prices and bad labor practices. just sayin.

yeah it's a liberal whiny vid but I just was thinking how I could express myself through video format and not just text. and that came up while i was cruisin the interbuttz. so there ya go.

I think the 'cool name' phenomenon stems from the fact that we had the greats like Gator, Hosoi, Hawk, Strubing. all very flamboyant names and they market well- so sometimes i know companies like when skaters go by something easier and more market friendly to sell shit. They don't want you to just be Steve. You are christened Stevie. Joe? Joey... wait let's start spelling it Joie. There. Does that even make sense? There are a very small few that have like a plain jane type approach to their names. but that's funny you mention that your mom said that Jgorganzala.

as a minor side note; I would like to get some socks to throw on with my other shit.... wink wink....

Posted By: Jgonzalez on November 7th, 2010 at 09:00PM PST
Did you know that "wurst" means sausage in german,
wich gives "the wurst president" a whole new meaning.
You also wrote Teh, wich is not correct spelled in german,
but we have a Tea Sausage written: Tee Wurst.
Tee Wurst President.

BTW. I agree,
Ed´s skating IS legendary.

I don´t know if he would agree, but there has been
some shift in style and tricks around 1989/1990.
Did you guys see the World Cup in Munster 1989?
Then watch the one from 1990, totally differnet.

I say that because Ed (to me) , was one of the
leading figures in that change and transformation.

His Wörld Champion run is legandary.
Watch that if you havn´t.

Have to take care of my girl now...

She´s getting jealous of the compliments
if give to a hairy men, coming along with
listening the mozzer, instead of giving
compliments to her hairlessness.

Shirtless Mozzer,you say?

New photo? Allow me to commentate.

In the same Google Image search, I found this photo of Ian Mackey and Henry Rollins.
Ian's got his Vans on.
Imagine if Ed had a hardcore punk band. wear your Emericas then over time they'll become cool guy shoes.

Did you do that graffiti or did you find that? It doesn't look like you did it but who knows, you may have.

Congratulations on the job, JGonz. Me, you and Jacob are killing the grocery scene coast to coast.

dang, mike. That's kind of a diss. no way is that ed's! lol seriously?

When it comes to Graff, Ed's a Toy.
A Toy Machine. lolo
Posted By: Jgonzalez on November 8th, 2010 at 09:06PM PST
Haha, I never meant it as a diss, I'm asking cause I wanna know. You know how you can tell someone's handwriting apart from a different person? I think art is kind of like that too. You may not know for sure what you're looking at but you can say, "that painting over there" kind of looks like a Gustav Klimt painting. That's a really bad example though haha. . I'm just saying it doesn't look like he did it. Although, I did also say, "who knows, you may have." because until Ed or someone who knows answers, we'll just never know haha.
Posted By: Mike on November 8th, 2010 at 10:45PM PST
My friend Dennis shot this up in SF. I didn't do it.
Posted By: ed on November 9th, 2010 at 01:18AM PST
I didn't think you did it. What now dan? hahah

Thanks for answering. That must feel pretty weird, seeing art you took from your head and seeing other people draw it as well, but everyone draws the sect, so you may be used to it by now haha
