He used paint brushes for Graffiti? Cool. I guess that's the thing about Graffiti. You don't know how long your piece is going to run. It could be forever, or it could get buffed real soon.
I guess you could take the buddhist approach and just accept that everything will eventually erode away.

Not a lot of sound barriers here where I live to do graffiti on. Plus they catch taggers here quite a bit. Some retard got caught throwing his tag up on a Public mural. That's pretty disrespectful shit in my book. I wouldn't want to paint over anything that already looks nice.

Yeah, dude. I totally watched Beautiful Losers.
Have you read any of the comment reviews on Netflix? There's a lot of people talking shit about all you dudes being hipsters and whatever. people that aren't down with art.
I was looking at a painting with one of my friends, and I was all going on a torrent trying to interpret the meaning behind a painting. He was like "Yeah, dude. Whatever."

I guess some people are more into looking at drawings than others.
"The first graffiti artists in the world were the Egyptians
Writing on the walls, mixing characters with letters" - KRS One.
See,fool, I can use quotes too. Shit, that song was on Grind session. Da Banks.

second to last photo, the favorite in this post.

This post is awesome. Cool to see them just doing art for the sake of it. But from what I can gather, it seems you broke your ribs. That isn't cool. Take it easy and feel better. On a side note, will the team be at the KCDC premiere?

So, most of my comment got cut off, FUCK.

I was gonna say something about sublime but then I googled "krs-one" and found out it's more than a song by sublime, so never mind.

I had something else to say but I forget, I'll come back later, as always.

I guess I can type fast when I'm in a rush because I had to say the same thing twice.

Irrelevant: what's up with all the ccs adds on site that have nothing to do with skating.

my very dear gal friend rosemary watched beautiful losers and inspired her to put up an art show in fairbanks, alaska, just where shes going to college at.
shes having some bands play and all that nice stuff that
come along those type of events..
so sick!

i think she even made a major research bio paper on ed i believe? i remember she mentioned something like that some time ago.

yeah, ive seen those CCS ads not only in some posts as comments here but also at the thrasher site.
Posted By: fresh from mex on November 15th, 2010 at 02:53AM PST
Oh. You guys are talkin about those weird spam comments. Now I know. I was wondering too since this site doesn't really have ads.

Barry is fucking super good.

I\'ve been getting a lot of compliments toward my art.
I\'m really happy about it.
Posted By: Jacob on November 15th, 2010 at 11:24AM PST
good goin' on keeping up with the art.

one thing that always comes to mind is pre-beautiful losers vid days, our art teacher had us watch videos of Barry and Margaret bombing train yards. He kept telling us not to follow in their example, but to expand how we thought about art and how it's portrayed. I always thought that was cool seeing her walking around drawing women with pointy tits and stuff on trains.

then I saw beautiful losers awhile back when it came out and thought to myself it was a good tribute to her and everything. I also remember as of typing this right now, the Moloko series that toymachine put out awhile back and how much I liked it. that was when BA was still on and things were getting really sketchy with people leaving and stuff.

going even further back now- I remember as a kid, I was really into war scenes and depictions of violence and the characters I would draw were in the same style as Margaret's stuff. Even the font she is known for (can't remember the name of it right now) I would draw the store fronts and stuff with that font. kind of nostalga'd all over the place there. sorry bout that.

nuff said. Ed you're cool to keep throwing shit up here.
Posted By: d1ggitydan on November 15th, 2010 at 12:45PM PST
Yeah fresh. I kind of worded that comment weird, my fault.
Posted By: john on November 15th, 2010 at 01:06PM PST
Jacob,keep on tumbling.

I think I should pick up making marble sculptures. Nobody is doing that right now, so it would be pretty underground and shit. You know, make a sculpture of Ian Curtis. Jk.

I'm eating a pretzel right now and have mustard on my fingers.

Haha,I liked that scene where Margeret and Barry are drawing on trains. I love tags like that, not that retarded gangster shit that people throw up and get all defensive about. Like my brother was at a gallery and two taggers got into a fight since they where both tagging using the same name. My opinion, change both of your effing names since they must suck since somebody else thought of it too. Back to what I was saying. On my way walking home, I pass by a CVS pharmacy and on the side somebody drew a Bat. not like a neckface bat. But a pretty cool looking one. I guess i have to Tumbl it now. But things like that,I like.

Like the Matoki font? That's a pretty bitchin' font. Tattoos?

I've never thought about Art happening in Alaska.
Is my blog considered art?

Maybe. I guess art is shit you do that nobody asks you to really do.

And those McRibs. Ugh. Anybody try that KFC double down yet?

Nobody has commented on the last photo yet.

I was reading this.

I though Bush was a Nazi.
Everybody Nazi Now!
Posted By: Jgonzalez on November 16th, 2010 at 09:06PM PST
jagorged- yeah bush's grandfather funded the rail road leading into aushwitz. look into that. I just wrote a paper about the decades of political abuse the bush family has been involved in for my writing class *crossing fingers for super good grade*

wow-Jimmy carlin is fucking awesome and I'm not being sarcastic. dude looks fucking fun as hell to be around. sweet flippery. Only thing; when I think of Mystery I don't even take it as a serious board company. I think Mystery like Pig Wheels making boards. Just a transitional point for skaters. but that's just me.

If I was a Professor reading a paper about how the Bush family has been torturing America. You'd be looking at a good grade.

I wasn't really feeling the whole Black and White skate video. I guess Mystery is to Zero as Chocolate is to Girl. Mystery doesn't really promote their riders that well. I think i've said that already. But anyway, it's all mysterious.
Pig Wood, omg. Now the Deathwish dudes.

Dude, who has Greg Lutzka on their team..

axe body spray... that's who.
Posted By: vinny on November 18th, 2010 at 03:29PM PST
I think the next step to bettering skateboarding is to completely exploit it, so it will crash & burn. Greg Lutzka is doing a great job of that. All of the fucks of skateboarding, rise, & give us your best, the worst. Fall, so we can rebuild skateboarding back to what it was intentionally meant for. I'm sick of seeing Tilly's (for those who don't know, Tilly's is a supposed "street wear" shop in Southern California) ads spread al around with some fuck of a douche with long hair, tight pants, & a shitty K-Mart board. That's not skateboarding. That's an image. An image which is the rage right now. But my love for skateboarding will forever be strong, can never be torn apart, & is a part of who I am.

Skating through downtown Los Angeles with good friends & good vibes topped my love off for skateboarding. This piece of wood with wheels & metal supporters puts the biggest smile on my face when I'm bombing a hill through downtown, racing through traffic, seshing everything that is in our path... So perfect.

For those, us, who love skateboarding for what it is, I thank you. It is because of you that I still have hope. More hope in that than my hope in mankind which is a hair line away from nothing, & for Ed Templeton, the reason for which I picked up a skateboard after finding a vhs in a garage sale bin down the street from the neighborhood I grew up in that read "Toy Machine Bloodsucking Skateboard Company. 'Welcome to Hell'", in which I stole because I didn't have a buck.

It's good to vent to you fucks every now & then, because you get it.
Posted By: Jacob on November 18th, 2010 at 03:43PM PST
I learned to not give a shit and just ride my board.

Then again, that's pretty easy when you don't talk to any other people.
