Barcelona for the NY Times
Earlier this year I went to Barcelona with the New York Times Style Magazine, "T," to shoot photos for a travel story revolving around the fact that Barcelona has historically been a hub of Skateboard, Art, and Graffiti culture. Sadly, the article (and hence my photos) will never run because of staffing changes at the magazine. So I will do a series of posts sharing the photos I took on that trip to Spain this April, 2012.
A kid watches graffiti artist "Oreck" painting the walls at the famous Parallel skate spot. Although these walls are set aside for graffiti artists, police can and do bust kids for painting on them.

These yarn actions only last a few hours before they are taken down.

Bummer they dind´t made it into the mag.
I think this graff girl also made a piece here in CGN during the cityleaks festival where dozens of streetartists from all over the world painted huge walls all over the city.The hair style looks familiar.
I need to go to BCN again.Such a nice city.
Kinda like Berlin but with a much better climate.
I´ll be in Berlin on New years eve.You too?
I´m not really looking forward to.It´s always freezing.
But I´ll be the guide for some folks from LA who´ll come to visit my GF...
We´ll see.
