Hows it going? I decided to take down all of my TM stuff i've collected over the last 11 years of skateboarding (im 25 now and started at 14) and dust it off and take some pictures.  There's also some pictures of my TM tattoos. They are both older and a little faded. I had a friend do the monster on my ankle about 7 years ago! And the sect is almost as old but from a shop. Ive ruined plenty of TM decks so this isn't everything ive had TM. I live in Las Vegas NV and i've never seen a demo or got to meet Ed or any TM people (my own fault) but i love the graphics and Ed's art. I used to sit in high school and draw Sect,Turtle Boy and the Monster on everything. I spoke with a woman on an art website and she told me the price for one of Ed's original pieces is really expensive! I know its a stretch but all i really want is something Ed has originally drawn and maybe signed. I know most kids have to stand in line for like 9 hours so i understand if i cant get something. Even if its just a small scrap of paper it would be so cool. Id frame it and hang it in my house.  Ed's my hero. And i'm a loyal pawn for life. Thanks, Chad Von Tobel

Went to Santa Catalina Island with DD, her brother, his wife, and our niece Sophia. A little family trip.

Went out for a late day boat ride, and saw a pod of about 10 Bottlenose Dolphins but did not get any photos (!?) of the encounter. Sometimes you just observe and enjoy without getting proof. After, we cruised around these California Sea Lions who were sunning themselves on a bouy near the quarry.

These guys smell really foul when you get downwind of them.

Like I have probably said a million times before, the nights are magical here.

There was a nice whisp of pink fluff in the periwinkle blue skies.

And the Pleasure Pier was dancing under a nearly full moon.

Our two Bald Eagles, sitting together. This is the closest I have seen them.

This little guy was relaxing on someones boat at White's Landing. He had a fishing hook embedded in his flipper. So alternative. But seriously, fuck fishing.

Sophia brought up this guy. I spent longer that I reasonalby should have trying to find out what it was, but I couldn't.

On the way up to the Botanical Gardens, we see some young Mule Deer.

Always cute and alert.

From the Wrigley Memorial. It was supposed to be his (William Wrigley Jr.'s) mausoleum, but he didn't end up getting buried there.

Inside the glorious Casino Theater.

There's a fake Botticelli in there.

Avocado Sushi.

We took a hike up to the summit behind Avalon to see the other side of the island.

The views were quite nice.

You can march all along the divide, straddling both sides of the island.

The coulds were rising up from the Pacific below the mountains on a tuft of wind, and being pushed over the mountain, spilling like  a bowl of soup into Avalon Valley below.

At the top, we had to "one-up" the past hikers by making our own rock tower just a bit higher than theirs.

Suck that other hikers.

The swirly road we walked up was pretty much a wuss hike, but the view was great.

My last shower was the Pacific Ocean in Catalina, and my next one would be the chlorinated piss-water of Raging Waters.

Look at these guys. Lotioned up and ready for some Dropout action. I hope we all don't get double-pink-eye.

Lunch break. Grant predicted we would see some boob today, and he was right. But I missed it. They said it was pretty hefty and not very apealing, so maybe I'm glad I missed it?

I paid $8.50 for a "smoothie."

Be sure to re-apply that sunblock. The lines are out in the sun.

It was a fun day for sure!

I failed miserably using my camera snorkel mask. When I thought I was shooting pictures I was actually switching back and forth between photo and video mode. I only shot 2 photos by accident!

The Phelper was there to mediate.

Hummer limo.

The driver reviewed the do's and don'ts. 

Leo listened intently...

Everyone else  pretty much went nuts.

Leo got wrapped up in the vortex eventually.

 

 

"Look, you're high in the running this year.  Don't lose your head and shoot another Skateboarder cover or something..."

At the show we reunited with the bros.

Billy was excited for Heath's part.

Two Matts, Winterburg and Bennett hold it down.

Harmony came with loyal pawns in tow.

"Hey, that's Griffin's mom.  Craaaazzzy, eh?"

Collin's part was epic!  He gave an barbarian war cry to celebrate.

Back in the limo, Leo reflected on the evening's awesomeness.

And decided to give the most wasted dude there a wedgie.
